Allergen Free Chocolate Recipe (best gift idea for new mothers)

Ingredients

  • 220g cocoa butter

  • 120g cacao powder

  • 160g maple syrup

  • 2 Tbsp freeze dried fruit or goji berries

  • 1 Tbsp pumpkin seeds

Method

  1. Sift the cacao powder into a large bowl then add the maple syrup.

  2. Measure the cocoa butter into a small bowl (ideally metal) and let it float in a pot of water as you let it come to a light boil on a stove top. Don’t let any water get into the cocoa butter.

  3. Stir the cocoa butter until it’s melted, and then add it to the bowl with the cacao powder and maple syrup.

  4. Stir it all well, removing any lumps, and then transfer it into silicone moulds or into a flat dish around 20x20cm.

  5. Sprinkle with fruit and pumpkin seeds if you wish and then place in the fridge until it’s set.

  6. Once firm, remove from the tin or moulds and enjoy. Keep it stored it in the fridge.
