Allergen Free Recipe: Fruit Buttons

This delicious novelty takes only minutes to put together and is a fun favourite with the little ones.

Whether or not your baby or child is on the Elimination Diet, this is a safe recipe that's also a great nutritional boost!


This recipe is suitable for babies from six months old, and if you have older children you can get them involved in making them. They love to see the variety of colours that come out when different fruits are used!


Allergen Free Fruit Button Recipe

Ingredients


  • 1 C fruit (any fruit - fresh or frozen)

  • 1/2 C coconut yoghurt

Method

  1. Peel and chop your fruit if appropriate (e.g apple, pear, mango, banana, kiwi etc.)

  2. Add it to a container with the coconut yoghurt and use a stick blender to blitz it until smooth, or blitz them in a food processor.

  3. Find a flat tray or chopping board and check that it fits in your freezer. Cover it with baking paper.

  4. Using a teaspoon, dollop small 'buttons' on to the tray then place it in the freezer for around 2 hours until frozen.

  5. Peel off and store in a sealed container or zip lock bag in the freezer.
